Gunther has reached an impressive milestone, marking 414 days as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. 

This achievement places him as the third-longest reigning champion in WWE history, surpassing the legendary “Macho Man” Randy Savage, who held the title for 413 days.

The current record for the longest reign is held by the Honky Tonk Man, with a remarkable 453 days, followed by Pedro Morales at 424 days. Gunther’s reign began on June 10, 2022, when he triumphed over Ricochet on an episode of WWE SmackDown. 

Throughout his reign, Gunther has made 12 successful defenses of the title across various television and premium live events, solidifying his dominance in the WWE.

As he continues his historic journey, fans eagerly watch to see if he will surpass Morales and potentially break the Honky Tonk Man’s record, further cementing his legacy in WWE history.
