Tyson Fury Has Given His Own Scorecard After “Reviewing The Tape” Of His Fight With Oleksandr Usyk. He Said: “Usyk Knows He Didn’t Beat Me… I Thought I Boxed The Head Right Off Him For Most Of The Rounds. I Believe I Won That Fight!”

Tyson Fury has shared his own scorecard after rewatching his fight against Oleksandr Usyk. Last month, the boxing world turned its attention to the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Fury and Usyk clashed to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. In a thrilling bout that went the full distance, Usyk emerged victorious, winning by split decision.

Usyk, at 37, made history by becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999. However, the decision was controversial. Fury was visibly upset after the fight, exclaiming, “Get up boys. F*****g ripped me off there.” Despite the official outcome, Fury felt he had done enough to secure the win.

In a recent video on his Furocity YouTube channel, Fury reiterated his belief that he had won the fight. “I’ve watched the fight back lots of times and still got the same answer – I thought I won the fight,” Fury stated. “Usyk knows he didn’t beat me… I thought I boxed the head right off him for most of the rounds.” Fury acknowledged that Usyk had landed a good punch in the eighth round, busting his nose, and that the Ukrainian had a strong showing in the ninth round, scoring a 10-8. He also conceded the tenth round to Usyk. However, Fury was adamant that he dominated the rest of the fight, scoring it 116-111 in his favor. This means he believed he won nine rounds to Usyk’s three.

Immediately after the fight in May, Fury expressed his frustration in the ring. “I believe I won that fight. I believe he won a few of the rounds but I won the majority of them,” Fury said. He acknowledged the unpredictability of boxing decisions, saying, “What can you do? It’s one of the decisions in boxing. We both put on a good fight. Best we could do…”

Despite the setback, Fury remained determined and focused on the future. “I’ll be back, I’ve got a rematch clause. We go back. Have a little rest up, spend some time with my family and we go again in October,” he declared. This statement highlights Fury’s resilience and his commitment to reclaiming the title.

The controversy surrounding the fight has sparked debates among boxing fans and experts. Some agree with Fury’s assessment, believing he outboxed Usyk for most of the match. Others argue that Usyk’s precise and effective punches earned him the victory. Regardless of differing opinions, the fight was a showcase of skill and determination from both fighters.

As the boxing community looks forward to a potential rematch, the rivalry between Fury and Usyk promises to add another exciting chapter to heavyweight boxing history. Fury’s confidence and Usyk’s technical prowess make for a compelling narrative that fans will eagerly follow. Whether Fury can adjust his strategy and overcome Usyk in a rematch remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the road to the undisputed heavyweight championship is far from over.
