Since WrestleMania 40, Roman Reigns has been virtually absent from WWE programming. No RAW, no SmackDown, no interviews, no mentions. WWE’s silence on the “Tribal Chief” has fueled speculation – from his temporary hiatus to his possible retirement from the ring entirely.
However, in a recent interview on the Out of Character podcast, Jey Uso – Roman’s cousin and former rival and partner – suddenly blurted out a detail that made fans pause: “Roman is enjoying his time alone… no strings attached, just living the life he missed.”
Just one sentence, but enough to make the online community “stir up”. Many fans are astute, believing that Jey has inadvertently confirmed that Roman Reigns is now out of contract with WWE – or at least in “free agent” status, not bound by any appearance terms.
The immediate question is: Will Roman Reigns return? And if so, when?
Some believe that WWE is “freezing” Roman to rebuild the new generation, like Cody Rhodes or Solo Sikoa. But many believe that the company is quietly preparing for a grand return, possibly at SummerSlam or even WrestleMania 41.
Jey Uso did not say anything more after that, but it was clear that with just one “slip of the tongue,” he had already heated up all the theories about Roman Reigns again. In the wrestling world, revelations like this are rarely random.
Is this a covert PR move by WWE? Or is it really a sign that Roman has closed his final chapter in WWE?
