Last week, workers near the town of Suwałki, Poland, heard something that caught their attention. Following this faint sound, they discovered in a bush in the distance a small dog was barking incessantly for help.
Fortunately, they listened to this sound and promptly found the dog in danger.
The dog is lying on the ground, surrounded by tar that makes it unable to move. What it does is bark loudly to seek help from those around.
Unable to pull the dog out of the tar on their own, workers contacted Joanna Godlewska , a rescuer from the Niczyje Animal Foundation. She and some colleagues rushed to the scene to immediately examine the situation.
When I arrived, I saw a poor and desperate dog lying in the tar, and then I burst into tears.
Luckily it is still alive and has never given up.
People think that this is a small abandoned dog, while wandering it accidentally got its foot in the tar. To move, the dog probably accidentally sat and lay down, causing its whole body to get stuck.
No one knows how long the dog has been lying here, but when it was discovered, it was very weak and barking very tired. Just a day later, it’s probably dead.
The local animal rescue organization and fire department both went to the scene to rescue the dog.
Although it was very difficult, everyone tried their best.
Godlewska received help from the local fire department. During the rescue, hope appeared in the little dog’s eyes, perhaps he believed that humans would save his life.
She understands that we are and will definitely save her!
Rescuers carefully cut off the tar-covered hair and used cooking oil to loosen the adhesive. After much effort, the dog was finally lifted off the road.
Washed many times but still could not get rid of the tar.
The dog was immediately transferred to a veterinary station for treatment and cleaning of the tar-stained hair.
Fortunately, the dog only suffered minor scratches on his face, he was somewhat exhausted but is now recovering very well.
The dog also underwent several hair removals, each time, the boy’s spirit improved.
The dog was named Farcik . Farcik experienced his life-and-death moment, thanks to his relentless efforts, he was saved. Farcik is now loved by so many people, it no longer fears and feels lonely.Godlewska shared that when Farcik recovers, they will find a new home for him.
The dog’s energy and will to survive also motivates many people. Those who witnessed the rescue process were touched by the persistent spirit of a small dog.
