A goat in Ring 1 of Bugel I Hamlet, Bugel Kapanewon Village, Panjatan Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) has become the talk of the town due to its unusual condition. The goat, named Nanang Samudra, has seven legs and two sexes: male and female. Despite being born with this abnormality, Nanang Samudra is much more active and agile than Sumiyono’s other goats.
Sumiyono, the owner of the goat, says that at first glance, Nanang Samudra looks like any other normal goat. The four legs develop normally and function normally, while the other three legs are attached to the back of its body. However, upon closer inspection, Sumiyono noticed that Nanang Samudra has two genitals, but only the male genitals are functional.
Sumiyono admits he did not expect Nanang Samudra to have this condition, as the mother goat did not show any strange symptoms before giving birth. But he made sure that Nanang Samudra would develop normally and even revealed that the goat is the most agile and closest to the family.
Despite being breastfed, Nanang Samudra’s treatment is different from Sumiyono’s other goats. Sumiyono gives Nanang Samudra condensed formula milk and directly guides the mother goat when she wants to breastfeed. This is because the mother goat sometimes steps on Nanang Samudra while breastfeeding.
Sumiyono loves Nanang Samudra so much that he has no plans to sell the goat at the moment. Instead, he will keep it as a pet until it grows up. However, he may consider selling it in the future if the price is right.
In conclusion, Nanang Samudra’s condition may be unusual, but it does not stop the goat from being active and agile. Sumiyono’s love for Nanang Samudra shows that every living creature deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, no matter how different they may be from the norm.
