Paulinchen is a pot-bellied, two-week-old sow who lost her mother but fortunately found a home at Katjinga’s side after she decided to adopt her. Katjinga is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Paulinchen was cared for by the dog without hesitation; she loved her as if she were one of her own. The dog immediately fell in love with this adorable little pig and made the decision to preserve her life.
A very remarkable relationship between Paulinchen and Katjinga was created as they cuddled warmly, demonstrating that they are not bothered by the fact that they are different species. Even the dog suckled on the piglet.
Paulinchen can be seen trying to suckle from his enormous new mum in one of the adorable photos that have gone viral on social media and attracted a lot of attention.
On a sizable 20-acre farm in Hoerstel, Germany, both species coexist. The adoptive parents of Katjinga are Roland Adam, 54, and Edit Adam, 44.
Real estate developer Roland was the one who discovered the tiny pig, who was left alone one night after her birth by the rest of her family, utterly frail and fighting for her life.
Added Roland:
“Wild pigs roam the area, and in our woodland, a sow just gave birth to a litter of five piglets. Paulinchen was really chilly when I took her up after finding her all by herself.
