If you’re a dog lover, then you might be familiar with how dogs can sometimes behave like humans. But have you ever seen dogs riding a bus like humans? If not, then you’re in for a treat!
An Alaskan family dog-walking team has become an internet sensation after posting a video of their doggy “daycare” bus. Mo Mountains Mutts, a husband-and-wife team, have been gaining a lot of attention on social media with their unique business idea. What started as a simple bike ride for dog walking eventually turned into a full-fledged business.
“I’ve always wanted a bus to transport my clients. I began on my bike, then moved on to a minivan, and finally to a large van. My big van’s tire fell off in the middle of my route one day,” Mo Thompson, one of the co-founders, shared. “I posted a request on my local community page for a large van or a short bus. I was able to board a bus that had been stranded due to COVID.”
The couple, who also have an 8-month-old son named Vern, share videos on social media of their daily routines and operations in Skagway. They run their puppy bus all year and also pet-sit on occasion. But it’s the video of their furry friends riding the bus that has captured the hearts of millions of people worldwide.
In the video, the dogs are seen getting on the bus and finding their seats. “Good morning, Jake,” Thompson says in the video before the dog settles into a seat and is “buckled in” with a dog leash. The video has already received over 50 million views on TikTok, making the couple an internet sensation overnight.
“I hope it makes people smile,” Thompson said at the end. “I also hope that it motivates people to exercise and train their dogs.”
What started as a simple idea has turned into a successful business for the couple. Mo Mountains Mutts has grown organically over time, and it’s their passion for dogs that has helped them achieve this success. The couple works together to balance work and their baby, and they have become an inspiration to many people.
If you’re a dog lover, then you’ll love watching the video of these furry friends riding the bus. It’s heartwarming to see how much love and care the couple has for their furry clients. So, the next time you’re in Skagway, make sure to look out for Mo Mountains Mutts and give them a big thumbs up!
