(DPL) – Abandoned to the point of only skin and bones left in front of a church in the US, the dog Odysseus was fortunate to receive timely care from the rescue team.
Wsbradio.com reported that volunteers discovered the dog after they received a call from the church in Fulton County, Georgia (USA).
When they arrived, the dog Odysseus was literally just skin and bones , chained and tied to a fence outside a church.
When rescued, Odysseus weighed only 12 kg, in a condition that made everyone cry out of sympathy.
Volunteers from the LifeLine Animal Project immediately took Odysseus to a veterinary hospital in Sandy Springs. Here, the dog receives special care.
In a share on the group’s Facebook page, they said Odysseus’s health is improving, but the coming days will be very important for this dog. The group is also calling on the public to donate to offset the dog’s treatment costs.
Despite the hardships he had to go through, Odysseus is still a dog full of affection
Currently, the dog’s health is progressing very well. He had a blood test done. In addition, Odysseus’ liver and kidneys are still working very well.
