Bukayo Saka’s brilliant build-up play set up Kai Havertz for his second goal for Arsenal.
Saka redeemed a missed penalty earlier in the game with a brilliant piece of right-wing play.
The English winger deflected Marcos Alonso’s challenge to lob a ball to the back post, which was met by Martin Odegaard’s head before being turned in by Havertz.
The Premier League team looked lively against Barcelona, with Saka in particular standing out.
The 21-year-old scored Arsenal’s first goal at SoFi Stadium, cancelling out Robert Lewandowski’s opener.
Saka’s later penalty kept the scores level until a deflected Raphinha free-kick gave the Spanish side the lead.
After drilling the penalty well wide of Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s goal, the younger Englishman had his head in his hands.
He made up for it with some brilliant play in the build-up to Havertz’s goal, with Arsenal’s midfield linking up well throughout.
The equaliser is Havertz’s second goal since joining Arsenal from Chelsea, and it has sparked some excitement among Arsenal fans.
“Kai really comes alive as a player in the box,” one fan said. You almost don’t notice him until it’s time to finish. Moves like a striker should.”
“Havertz deserves that!” wrote another.
A third joked, “Chelsea fans, you can go to sleep now that my boy Havertz scored.”
