According to rumours, Bayern Munich and Manchester City defender Kyle Walker have agreed on personal terms.

The 33-year-old has had an incredible six seasons at the Etihad, winning five Premier League titles and the Champions League last season.

However, speculation about his future in Manchester began only a few months ago, when the defender claimed he was ‘gutted’ to be left out of the final.

Walker has now verbally agreed to join Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich in the summer window, according to The Athletic.

According to the report, the two teams will now try to negotiate a cost for the England international.

City are said to be holding out for their £15 million asking price for the full-back, who has just one year left on his contract at the Etihad.

With Walker’s contract at City set to expire next summer, Thomas Tuchel is said to be the main force behind the pursuit.

Sheffield United were interested in bringing Walker back to Yorkshire, but a move to Munich would allow him to continue playing Champions League games next season.

Walker has won 12 titles in 254 games since joining from Tottenham in 2016. These include five Premier Leagues and the Champions League.

During that period, he has also contributed six goals and 18 assists to Pep Guardiola’s record-breaking team.

He appeared in 39 games for City last season as they won a record triple in 2022/23, but he was periodically rested for crucial games such as the UCL final.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are reportedly willing to trade Sadio Mane for just £17 million this summer in order to acquire finances for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Mane, who joined Bayern Munich for £35 million from Liverpool last summer, is one of seven Bayern players on the verge of being released.

The serial Bundesliga champions had planned to entice Kane to the Allianz Arena this week for roughly £70 million, capitalizing on the fact that Spurs’ superstar may go for free next summer when his contract expires.

However, as revealed by Mail Sport on Monday, Tottenham are set to reject Bayern’s second bid and have set a £120 million asking price for the England captain.
