Striker Erling Haaland continues to dominate the English Premier League when he has just set a memorable milestone and leveled the scoring record with the legendary Ronaldo.
Back after the great victory over Bayern in midweek, Man City continued to show a destructive form with a 3-1 victory over Leicester in the 31st round of the Premier League . And the brightest star is none other than Erling Haaland.
In just about 13 to 25 minutes, the Norwegian striker completed an impressive double. One goal was on the penalty spot, the other was a delicate finish after Kevin De Bruyne’s assist.
The double not only helped Haaland firmly establish his position as the top scorer, but also brought him an unprecedented milestone. Accordingly, Man City’s number 9 has reached 32 goals in the tournament, thereby equaling Mohamed Salah’s record of goals in an English Premier League season in the 2017/18 season.

Worth mentioning, Haaland did this right in the first season of playing for Man City and when the new tournament entered the 31st round.
Only Andy Cole in 1993/94 (34) and Alan Shearer in 1994/95 (34) have scored more goals than Haaland. But the achievement that these legends achieved is when the tournament still had 42 matches instead of 38.
In all competitions this season, Haaland has 47 goals. Thereby equalizing the best scoring record of the legendary Ronaldo de Lima in the only 1996/97 season playing for Barcelona. Notably, Man City’s number 9 only needed 40 matches to reach 47 goals while Ro Fat needed 49 matches.

Both of the above milestones will likely be broken deeply by Haaland this season. Because he will have a maximum of 15 matches with Man City if they reach the final match of both the FA Cup and Champions League . And with the current form, it seems that no defense can stop Haaland from scoring.
