Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has surprised a young fan who sent him his pocket after the Euro 2020 final heartbreak.

The young fan, Teddy, was featured in Amazon Prime’s ‘All or Nothing: Arsenal’ documentary series as Saka surprised him.

The story started when Saka missed the crucial penalty during the Euro 2020 final shootout against Italy at Wembley, which handed Roberto Mancini’s side the trophy.

In the aftermath of the final heartbreak, Saka, along with several England team mates received racial abuse on social media.

During the final episode of the documentary series, Saka was filmed speaking about the support he received from fans after the final.

The youngster was especially taken aback by one particular letter.

He said: “After the Euros, there was a kid that sent me a letter with his pocket money.

“He was talking about how sad he was for me and stuff, and said that he would love to play football with me in the park and have an ice cream with me and stuff.

“I never expected anything like that, especially for a young kid to give me his pocket money – that must mean a lot because I know when I was a kid, that money means everything.”

The show then brought Saka and Teddy together at the Emirates stadium.

Teddy was on a tour of Arsenal’s famous stadium when he was surprised by Saka.

Saka arrived as Teddy was having his photo taken in front of the Arsenal player’s shirt. Saka had two ice creams in his hands as he approached Teddy, giving him a choice of chocolate or strawberry.

Saka then invited Teddy for a kick about on the hallowed turf of the Emirates stadium. Teddy was both shocked and in awe of the England international.

The show’s producer then asked Teddy why he decided to send Saka a letter, to which he replied: “Because people were being racist to Saka and bullying him.”

Whilst on the pitch, Saka complimented Teddy’s skills and even compared him to team mate, Ben White. Saka also said that they will play together on the pitch for Arsenal one day. A truly touching moment.

Saka has enjoyed a great start to the 22/23 season, with his Arsenal side recording two wins out of two. Fans are expecting the Gunners to finish in the top four this season after a productive summer transfer window that saw the arrivals of the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
