Tyson Fury, after the first defeat of Oleksandr Usyk’s career in Saudi Arabia, has confirmed that he will fight again in October in Riyadh.
Despite losing and losing the WBC title, Fury still kissed Usyk three times right after the match. His agent Frank Warren revealed that Fury suffers from bipolar illness, explaining his erratic statements after the fight. Warren emphasized: “Tyson is a true warrior, even when faced with illness.”
After the loss, Fury asserted that he deserved to win and even said that the Ukrainian boxer was favored. “His country is in upheaval, so everyone is on that country’s side,” Fury said.
Warren, Fury’s representative, spoke up to defend his boxer, explaining that Fury’s unusual actions and words were symptoms of bipolar disease.
“Tyson has bipolar,” Warren shares. If you know and have seen the symptoms, you will see that what he says and does are all part of this disease. If it’s on his mind, he’ll say it. That is one of the symptoms of this disease.”
Warren also emphasized that Fury kissed Usyk at least three times (on the cheek, forehead) immediately after the fight, showing his respect and special personality.
He also added about Fury’s mental condition: “With Tyson, he once said he retired, but a few months later he continued fighting. It’s part of the bipolar illness he’s dealing with. Tyson is a warrior and always fights not only in the ring but also with his own illness.”
The rematch between Fury and Usyk is expected to be a big event, promising dramatic and emotional performances. The rematch is expected to take place in October.
