Vince McMahon Cuts Ties With Triple H And Stephanie: WWE’s Powerful Family Broke Down Over A Vote?

In the world of professional wrestling, the name Vince McMahon has always been a symbol of power and controversy. He is the one who turned WWE from a small family company into a global billion-dollar entertainment empire. However, turmoil is rising within the “McMahon family” itself, when recently, many sources – most notably from Jonathan Coachman in the program Behind The Turnbuckle – revealed that Vince McMahon has completely cut ties with his daughter Stephanie McMahon and son-in-law – and WWE’s successor – Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Why?
The story originated from a vote by the Board of Directors of TKO Group Holdings – WWE’s parent company after merging with UFC. With Vince McMahon embroiled in a major lawsuit involving Janel Grant, board members, including Stephanie and Triple H, voted to remove Vince from the board. This was not only a huge blow to his standing, but also something Vince viewed as a “betrayal” from those closest to him.
Coachman asserted that Vince now doesn’t want to hear or know anything about either Stephanie or Triple H, and has even rejected all attempts to contact them. He sees their actions as not only personal antagonism, but also a “destruction of the trust” he once placed in his successor.
But it doesn’t stop there…
Vince McMahon is also said to be extremely angry with Triple H for allowing John Cena – his longtime “babyface” icon – to transition to a heel role. In Vince’s eyes, that is “unacceptable”, because John Cena has always been considered the most ideal representative face of WWE for more than a decade. Breaking this image is something that Vince asserts he “will never allow to happen” if he still has control.
Within WWE today, although Triple H is taking on a creative leadership role and has a lot of support from fans thanks to his new management style, it is clear that the ghost of Vince McMahon still looms over the entire system. And now, when the relationship between the three most powerful figures in WWE has broken down to the point of no return, many people are starting to ask:
Is WWE still a true “family”? Or is this the beginning of a simmering “civil war” between generations?
In the world of WWE, everything can be scripted – but human emotions, especially in a family as close-knit as the McMahons, aren’t always so easily “rewritten.”
