Buster Douglas Poured Cold Water On Tyson Fury By Declaring That He Has ‘Gotten Weak’ And ‘No Longer Has The Strength’ To Withstand Powerful Punches. “Forget Usyk, Anthony Joshua Will Defeat Him Now!”

Buster Douglas, the former heavyweight champion known for his shocking victory over Mike Tyson, has made headlines with his bold statements about Tyson Fury. Douglas believes Fury has “gotten weak” and no longer possesses the strength to endure powerful punches. This stark assessment comes as Fury prepares for his highly anticipated rematch with Oleksandr Usyk later this year.

At 64 years old, Douglas has seen his fair share of boxing champions, and his comments have sparked a wave of controversy in the boxing community. He expressed his concerns about Fury’s current condition during an interview with Gambling Zone. According to Douglas, Fury’s recent performances in the ring have shown signs of weakness, particularly after his first professional defeat.

Fury’s loss was a painful one, especially since he felt he was ahead on points before being shaken in the ninth round. This defeat has left many questioning whether the Gypsy King can reclaim his former glory. The rematch with Usyk, scheduled for December 21, presents an opportunity for Fury to avenge his loss, but Douglas remains skeptical.

Douglas’s criticism extends beyond Fury’s physical capabilities. He also questions the overall endurance and resilience of today’s heavyweights, including Anthony Joshua. “I speak to my trainer about today’s heavyweights, and he has a low opinion of them,” Douglas said. “They wouldn’t have been in the top 30 in my era. They have skills, but as far as endurance, I don’t know. They don’t seem to be able to withstand power and aggressiveness.”

Douglas went on to predict that Joshua would defeat Fury if the two were to face off in the ring. “Right now, I think AJ beats Fury,” he stated. “It’s not that Fury is on the decline; he just no longer has that strength to withstand that force. Once you start putting your punches together, he tends to get weak as the fight goes on, and his power levels start faltering. It’s a strong possibility that AJ would knock Fury out. He would definitely take Fury out. It would not go the distance; AJ would knock him out.”

Douglas also weighed in on a potential bout between Joshua and Usyk, suggesting that the match would be evenly matched. “AJ-Usyk is right now also a good one. I’d say AJ beats Fury, and AJ-Usyk is 50-50. AJ is looking like he’s on a mission, and he’s finally got it together and changed some things.”

Following Fury’s defeat, there has been a notable silence from his camp. However, his brother Tommy Fury recently spoke out, defending his sibling’s performance. Tommy participated in the Soccer Aid charity match, where he shared his thoughts on Tyson’s recent fight. “Tyson’s alright, all good, all good,” Tommy said. “Listen, at the end of the day, it was a close fight. I did think Tyson did enough to win it. I thought the first half of the fight was a shutout, and they picked up a couple of rounds after that, so I thought he won the fight. But at the end of the day, it’s boxing; decisions happen, and he’ll be back for the rematch. 100 percent he’ll win the rematch. There’s not a doubt in my mind that when the rematch happens, he’ll right that wrong and get the victory back and move on to the next.”

As the rematch approaches, the boxing world is abuzz with speculation. Will Fury be able to prove Douglas wrong and reclaim his title, or will Joshua step in and dominate the heavyweight division? One thing is certain: December 21 promises to be a night of intense action, with the potential to reshape the landscape of heavyweight boxing.
