Bored Panda writes that Lisa, a 10-week-old puppy brought to the Humane Society of Silicon Valley with scars all over her face and inflamed eyelids that needed surgery. Until Christine Doblar and her family arrived, shelter staff weren’t sure they could find her a home. ,,My daughters were always afraid that someone else would take her.” Doblar told The Dodo. ,,She looks a little weird but she has a wonderful, bright personality. The fact that she goes to each of us and is so loving and cheerful with everyone she takes in. We’ve looked at other dogs, but nothing compared to her.” The family set off the same day and adopted Lisa, whom they named “Lucky”.

The staff of the shelter thought nobody would adopt Lisa.
But that thought lasted only until Christine Doblar walked in with her family.
,,She has a wonderful, sparkling personality. We’ve seen other dogs, but nothing compared to her.”
The family decided to name her Lucky because we were both lucky and adopted her the same day.
