After that, Paul twice defeated former UFC champion Tyron Woodley and then defeated UFC legend Anderson Silva by referee points, knocked out Nate Diaz, Paul received his first defeat when he lost on points to Tommy Fury – the boxing champion’s younger brother. Whether he defeats Mike Perry on July 20 or not, Jake admits that he still has a long way to go to win the love of most fans. He believes that external actions can help him quickly achieve this goal.
“I’m trying to put boxing in the top 2 most attractive sports. I want boxing to surpass the NBA, NFL and MMA, which I believe has surpassed boxing all this time.
I believe that at lightweight with [Ryan] Garcia, [Devin] Haney, Gervonta [Davis], then at heavyweight, those fights need to happen. If everyone lets me, my brother Logan and other YouTubers attend, boxing can become number 1. I’m here to do that,” Jake affirmed.
